Does anybody know if the ball joint on the lower control arm can be removed? I might have to replace mine and spending 700$ for both isn't quite... ideal. I could always find control arms from wrecked Kazashis, but I figured I might aswell ask on here first.

Cheers!

Nope. The LCA is an assembly, as is the case with most modern vehicles.

LH p/n 45202-57L00
RH p/n 45201-57L00

There is a also seal kit associated w/ that ball joint as well: 45714-57810
Same p/n for both sides...one kit req'd per side.

p/n's from US spec 2010-2012 parts catalog.

Cheers.

Turns out the lower control arms are in a good shape. The tie rods have some play, but those were gonna be replaced anyway. The upper control arms on the other hand have seen better days. The bushings looked like they were slightly twisted when the car was on the lift.

The p/n info provided above was for the front suspension. There are no front upper control arms.
The rear suspension has a bunch more in the way of control arms and frame pieces w/ bushings and the like, some identified as 'upper'. However, nothing defined as 'tie-rod' or 'ball-joint', which are generally steering components, associated with the rear suspension.

Interestingly, rear knuckle UCA can be had from Amazon:

but no other rear suspension trailing or control arms such as 46300-57L10 and 46205-57L00 are.

I forgot to mention the rear needed some repairs too, but yeah I was talking about the rear upper control arms. Fun fact, the rear lower control arms are made out of aluminum.

What's wrong with your rear UCAs?

Bushings looked a bit tired. The bolt that passes through them didn't seem to be leveled despite the wheels not touching the ground anymore. I could always replace the worn out bushings for $100~, but I might as well change the control arms entirely considering it's about $200 for both.

I see. Parts manual doesn't show the rear AWD UCA bushings as being replaceable. One p/n for the entire arm assembly.

That's for a 2013 part. My info is from a 2010-2012 OE parts manual. A 2013 arm's bushings may very well be replaceable. Yours is a 2011 according to your sig line. Once you have 2013 arms (if they fit), then you could replace the bushings when needed. Even then, I've never been able to replace a bushing in any mild steel suspension part of any significant age or mileage living here in corrosion prone PA. The bushings usually fuse to the rusted corroded steel. Many times the bolts are fused to the bushing's steel sleeve. Just depends. I've burned them out of leaf spring eyes (after cutting the bolts off to free the springs from the frame) in the past to replace them. No fun.
