Creaking in Front Suspension, what to look for?

So over the past year or so my Kizashi Sport SLS has developed a rather noticeable creaking/crunchy noise in the front suspension. It's to the point now that you can even hear it when driving over imperfections in the road surface, such as the uneven concrete in my apartment's parking garage or when driving over a dip in the driveway of a parking lot. It's particularly noticeable when going over speed bumps at slow speeds -- then you can really hear the "crunch" when the car comes down from the bump. I'd say this happens about 85% of the time -- for some reason, there are times when it's not audible, maybe because of atmospheric conditions?

In any case, I'd like to diagnose the issue myself and maybe even fix it if it's not too complicated to fix, rather than spending the time and money going to the nearest competent former Suzuki service center which is about 100 miles away from me. But I'm not too sure what I'm looking for when I lift the car up on stands. Any suggestions?

You can check if rubbers parts are worn. Its probably hard to see so you can check if there is any play on parts by shaking : swaybar, control arm, wheel etc. I would think of the rubber of the swaybars. That would be a cheap fix. Fingers crossed :D

Sway bar end links. When they go bad, the front end sounds like it's in really bad shape. Pretty easy fix.
