Yea, the wierd long start issue. It only occurs when it's cold. Mine sits in the garage when home but an extended stay at the parents for a Bday sunday, winds at 20mph steady and temps below 25. Long start. It did start which is better than my sisters 2010 Saab 93 which had to call for help after she ran the battery dead (this was an hour after I left).
It happens to all cars when they freeze.
There are several factors that stop the car from starting 1) Oil Pressure if it's not high enough 2) Fuel pressure needs to be high as well 3) Air Temp on intake - too cold will retard ignition shortly (Try starting a carb motor that sat in 3' of snow in northern new york... Poor Sami. A few other factors will stop the car from starting (from the ECU standpoint).
It could be shutdown sequence but it's not. It's cold related.
