Map update for nav unit?

What settings did you use for burning the disc to update the firmware?

Infact I got the maps from GPS forums. I downloaded the unlocked img files etc.

Then on a new SD card, created a folder called Garmin & copied all the files there.

Created a POI folder and copied the POI.gpi file to that folder.

The maps are updated and I also updated the latest base maps, but the camera alerts are not working.

Hi. I have 2011 AWD CVT Sports with Alpine Sat Nav aftermarket which comes complete with SD card installed and update details included for 3 year quarterly web page instructions issued free . I presume all makes of sat nav compete and will include the same features. Actual update between car/PC can be tricky if you are not normally computer literate, [semblable moi!]; however if you have children that helps! Regards, Ron Hyams
