ESC

How do I know when the ESC is engaged and when it is not? I push the button, but there is nothing to indicate whether I just turned it on or off. I suppose I should be able to find this in the owner's manual, but I can't. Thanks for any help.

The button is a press and hold. Hold it down and after a few seconds, the display will notify you that it is off. Keep in mind that you want it on unless you need to rock yourself out of snow or mud. Leaving the ESC off is not recommended. It is on by default and I believe the car will notify you when it is off.

In mine I must be in 'Park', with brake pedal depressed, to de-activate the ESC.

But I normally travel faster with it active.....
