Hi guys (and girls),

I am the proud owner of a new '13 Kizashi Sport SLS. Silver metallic with the black interior. It is the first brand new car I have ever purchased. I thought I would always buy used, but after doing a lot of research and comparison, found what I think and hope was a tremendous value. The dealership was clearing inventory and I was able to buy the car with 31 miles on it at just under $20K.

I live in the Denver area but purchased the vehicle from a dealership in Virginia. Hence, I just returned from a very fun road trip in which the car performed beautifully. So far (1,800 miles) I am extremely pleased with the purchase. This weekend I had the windows and sunroof tinted (nano ceramic...highly recommend), as well as a "visor" tint put in across the top of the windshield. I am very happy with the look....will post pictures once I wash and wax.

A question I am hoping you might be able to help with. I am about to order the OEM cross bars. I/we are into kayak fishing and would like to be able to put two 10' kayaks on a carrier.

1. Do you recommend the OEM crossbars, or an aftermarket brand?
2. Can anyone please share their thoughts on a good double kayak rack that is compatible with the OEM crossbars, or aftermarket crossbars?

Thanks for your help. I look forward to learning from and sharing with my fellow "few but proud" Kizashi owners.

Thule or Yakima for cross-bar stuff.

Congrats on your (first!) new car; good one to start with.

Found the OEM cross bars here for $151.00 plus $15.00 shipping: http://www.oemsuzukiparts.com/parts/ind ... eid=214330

If you want one, I'd order sooner than later. I found that most places were already out of inventory or were charging more.

Good to know on the cross bar.

Did you get a leather/loaded model for $20K? If so that is the best deal I've heard.
