You can't run x-ice all year round. WRG3 can be used all year round.
I would just use it as the spare so the warranty would run out time-wise before the treadwear would ever kick in.

I end up buying tires every 6 months on my non-snow cars, so they're just a wear item to me. I'd rather have grip when I need it than worry about them wearing out.

Was wondering if any northeast USA Kizashi owners are fighting it out in the blizzard with those Nokian WRG3's?

I was jut curious about it.

I just bought a set of these tires in part because of this post but also because I came to the same conclusion that these were the best all purpose choice for my city in the rocky mountains. My factory Dunlop tires have worn unevenly in the front because one of them can't keep pressure. It slowly falls to 5 psi lower than the others and stays there until I get it filled again. Over time (and because I ignore it half the time) the tire treads in the front look dangerous for snow while the back 2 look like new still, so I decided to get the new set finally. My car is just under 12000 miles now. Yeah, I don't leave the house much.

Locally at our only authorized dealer, they wanted $1011 installed, but I found them on tires by web for $816 shipped for a set (correct size also). I could have bought an entire new set of 16" rims and snow tires for that, but I don't want the hassle of storing and swapping the tires. I look forward to experiencing how they sound ride and handle

I am also thinking about all-season tires...my summer tires are done and it will be my last winter for my Micheline X-ice 2. The problem is I live in New Brunswick, Canada where snow is at our doors 3 months in a row. I would like to get an input from someone who has all-season tires on their Kizashi and went out with 15-20 cm of snow?

So on dry road when I first got the tires, I barely noticed any difference from my factory Dunlops. Maybe a tad bit smoother ride, but I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't feeling for it. I don't really know how much cabin noise I gained or lost because I always have my stereo up too loud.

We had a good bit of snow last night. My drive home was great. I tried to accelerate and brake aggressively in areas where it was safe to do so. I felt like I had total control about 95% of the time. On the onramp to the freeway I pushed the accelerator hard and it was up and going well. I did feel a little ~swerviness~ in the fresh powder as I joined the freeway in the far right lane, but still maintained a straight course. In town on the packed snow on the road, stopping was almost as if on dry pavement and my acceleration was quick; I made everyone at the lights eat my snow-dust. So far I am quite satisfied.
