Has anyone tried to fit a Grand Vitara 2009-2013 (2.4L) throttle body into a Kizashi? I cant find one locally to make the test but they just look almost identical. I know the intake manifold is a little different, but the engine is practically the same, and those new Kizashi throttle bodies are 450+ US on Ebay.
I may need to replace mine due to unstable idling, and limp mode (or loss of gas pedal) when getting the errors P2119 and P050A.
I have dissassembled the TB 2 times (drilled the rivets, cleaned everthing, and the first time, I saw some minor dust and sand particles in between the teeths of the cog between the actuator and the link cog that conects to the spring loaded thrlottle plate).
After 3 weeks of the first clean, the errors and symptoms came back (unplugging the negative cable for a minute clears the cod and I can use the gas pedal again). Although the second clean was a week ago, and I have acceleration, I was thinking if I could just burn 65 - 70 USD and try on a new Vitara TB, but wanted to ask here instead before doing it.
In a worst case scenario I wll have to order a used one which cost about the same. Let me know your thoughts.

Throttle Body Swap with Vitara
Old Tech would be the best source of info on whether this would work. I know the engines are the same but tuned differently. The Kizashi makes about 15 HP more than the GV's J24B but I wonder how much the TB really matters/differs here.
I think it's worth a try for the amount you stated.

Hi. If you ever try this and it works please post it back here as I'd be interested. In the UK the part is 890 GBP plus tax
That's around 1300 USD (inc tax). Fortunately I've been able to source one second hand in UK. Good luck if you try it.

Hey. I just did the swap like two weeks ago.
Got a new Grand Vitara/SX4 (2007-2017 trim years according to ebay) throttle body, part no. 13400-78K00, for 57.00 USD.
Swapped it two weeks ago and the car is running as normal. Parts are like 98.99% identical. Same connector same bolt holes same everything except for so tiny and irrelevant design differences.
If I get the issues again, my problem might be elsewhere.
