Yea, once you're moving it accelerates pretty impressively and smooth - almost turbo-like.
It's the opposite of a typical automatic, which may jump from a stop but then peters out as you get up in the revs.
Finally bought one. few comments and questions
For me actually the lag from 0 - 20 is not bad (may I was expecting heavy lag after reading lot of posts here) but I noticed a heavy lag from 35 - 50. Once it crosses 50 its not bad. I do drive agressively (but not crazy). Hopefully once it breaks in, it will settle.
I will check tire pressure tonight to see make sure.
Thanks,
MSR

The 35-50 lag that you mention is the transmission gearing down to almost ridiculously-low RPM to save fuel. If you watch your tachometer, you'll be doing about only 1200 RPM at 40 MPH on a level road. The Kizashi has a very long-travel accelerator, and you can't be afraid to press down on it if you want a a little more acceleration. When you do, you'll find that the car takes off quickly. Getting a few more miles on it will definitely help. The car will break-in and feel more responsive, and you'll better learn how to drive with the CVT, which requires a slightly different driving style than a typical gear-type automatic.

Glad it helped! Hope you end up loving your Kizashi as much as I do.
I fully agree with tigerbangs54, once the car get pass 6000mi. in it gets "sprightly"
and once you get use to cvt it really sh..- N-gits it likes to be revved high.
and the cruise is a Must. I love to blow by any car, going from 60-80 in a split second.
whoo hoo. btw it is in the advertisement for "spirited" driving. have fun and be safe with
your new car msr.
