4/10/2019 at 86,516 miles, had me oil changed.
While it was up, got a chance to eyeball its underneath, mandated by a bad decision Tuesday to 'take the dirt road over the mountain'.
The mudhorror comes in 'sections', sometimes just 20--30 ft, but on occasion 100 yds or more. Sometimes there are firm islands in the goop, and sometimes the ruts are so deep you'll highcenter if you get caught.
I'd made it nearly to the end, with just a half-mile left to pavement, when I came upon a 'section' of considerable length and ruttiness, and a Subaru it had already claimed stuck in perhaps-best path choice.
So I stopped and evaluated my choices, because going back the way I'd just successfully navigated seemed a worse choice than attempting what lay in front of me.
It was noisy, all that scraping underneath........
But the panels and pieces survived!
I've been avoiding the mudmistake roads as best I can to aid #3's longevity

Now my road is a horror; the 'section' has gotten so bad that scraping the bottom is unavoidable.
So bad that the wheels are packed with mud and bouncing.
So bad that the brakes make funny noises.
So bad that the steering crunches near full lock.
So bad that I can hear pieces of mud falling off the car as I go down the road.
Really bad.
But the Kizashi has been acting like a Rubicon, plowing relentlessly through the foot-deep ruts.
Cool.
But noisy.

Bets of both worlds...superior handling on pavement and excellent Off-Roading capability.
However, even insinuating the connection to a Heep (KizashiCon?) is pretty much blasphemy. I'd prefer a name closer to its true roots, durarbility, reliability, and, price-point, such as Kizamurai...

Concerned that I'd done damage to its underneath, I showed up yesterday at 14:30 at the ex-Suzuki dealership that does all my work. Within five minutes they'd put the car up on a lift so I could look it over.
For free.
I love them guys.
The bad news: Bashed but did not hole the flex-pipe, tore one long underbody panel completely off (as in "gone"), and broke all the rest, jammed copious amounts of mud into locations not designed to have mud jammed in them.
There's even mud on top of the exhaust outlets.......
The good news: Nothing important broke, and the axle boots are intact.
But even after $8 worth of carwash nozzling, there's still some mud in the wheels
