Yes it does because WRG3 are all weather tires not all seasons with 50,000 miles warranty. Its a winter based tire that is made to be used all year round.11zukizashi wrote:Does that warranty cover tread wear? Winter tires are supposed to have softer rubber than all season at warmer temps. They should wear out faster than an all season tire if you run them all year.
My 2012 Kizashi Sport SLS with Nokian WRG3 All Weather Tires
I tend to use the terms "all-season" and "all-weather" interchangeably, and I'm not entirely sure what the difference is.
Anyways, I talked with Matt the warranty guy at the Nokian US HQ, and he said as long as there's even wear on the tires, they'll honor the warranty, even if you don't change them in the summers. All you have to do is keep the alignment tuned up, and rotate the tires like you're supposed to.

All weathers are completely different from all seasons

BTW, I'm super jealous. It's be between 20 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit here in KC for the majority of 6 weeks now, and it SUUUUUCCCCKKKKSSSS!yoshi2012 wrote:Been nothing but 50-60 degree weather here in Colorado and the tires have performed beatifully. The notion that Nokian are only good for winter time is now a dead argument for me. These handle like a high performance summer tire all while giving me peace of mind that the tires can handle the cold harsh weather conditions that are coming soon.

Colorado weather is unpredictable, although it is sunny 300 days of the year, the winters are no joke so I am enjoying it for now.KansasKid wrote:BTW, I'm super jealous. All season tires meet minimum safety standards. All weather tires exceed standards set by the government, which is why they perform better. Quebec Canada banned All season tires, but have allowed all weather tires to be sold. Only Nokian and Hankook make all weather tires . the Hankook isn't as good as Nokian. Again nothing beats dedicated winter tires.

Happy new year all! My Kizashi has been handling winter very well here in Colorado. Nokian tires have been slicing through the snow and ice along with my awd make it unstoppable! I love driving in the snow while Listening to Florida Georgia line with Nelly..... Worry free
