Thanks again Brett. Would you remember the name of the paint shop Suzuki Millwoods used that left you with the color problems?

I too have paint issues, 2012 black Kizashi, they attempted 5 times to correct the problem. Currently in a lemon law and dealing with more problems...Transmission replaced under 7,000, door seals, drivers seat replaced, sway bar replaced and list goes on.. anyone else have these issues? :x

So here it is a year and half later and Suzuki has agreed to pay half towards the front hood, two fenders and blending into the front doors. They say they will not pay for any of the 3M that needs replacing; the 3M that I purchased in the first place due to worries over what I was reading at the time of delivery re Kizashi paint issues. Typical corporate amorality where concern for customer satisfaction is relegated to sales pitches but taking real $$ responsibility must be avoided.

So, it chipped even under the 3M?

He probably means it chipped outside of the 3M area, but they can't just paint around the protective adhesive, so they have to remove that too.

So far my hood has been repainted 3x. The first time the hood, front fenders, and front doors. Second time the hood because chips showed up all over within a month, and the third because of a defect in the way it was painted the second time. This last time (3rd) I got the 3M film put on the hood.

I made sure to discuss this issue with my salesman during purchase and put in the sales contract that they will repair/repaint any areas that have an abnormal amount of chipping. So far they've been really great (probably because I've bought 3 Kizashis from them), but if someone out there still hasn't bought a Kiz and is thinking about it, I'd highly recommend doing that.

Hi guys...I have a big chip on my front bumper and a few small chips on my hood after 45 000 km. I am not quite sure if it would be covered under warranty. The dealership will do the ''paint test'' in 2 days. Does anyone know what is the test?I know some people had their bumper/hood replaced under the warranty...could you please send me pictures of the chips before the repair?? Thanks!

On my 2011 Kizashi with 49k miles I have about a dozen paint chips on the roof :(
Below are a few pictures with just the fresh ones, I'm trying to "fix" them seem like a whack-a-mole thing

That was much worse than I was expecting  ... What kind of climate do you live in, and I’m guessing you park the Kizashi outside uncovered? I do as well and mine absorbs quite a bit of UV before I leave for work. Unfortunately the garage is not able to accommodate a car. Thankfully there is a garage at work. But I’m worried about UV damage. Once my car is cleaned again I’ll be consistent with applying some UV-resistant detailer spray and the like.

I knew Kizashis had some paint quality issues but didn’t know it included peeling off like a torn plastic wrapper. I figured it was just the odd speck here and there from highway grit, and that Kizashis are more prone to that than usual. Yikes.
