How to remove the ECU??

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

I believe the ECU is behind the glove box. See my post of How to Change: Cabin Air Filter in the DIY section to get in there and check it out.

I'm wrong! Many cars have the ECU on the passenger's right foot area. It appears the Kizashi is under the hood.

Here's how to install the piggyback unit from Road/Race. PiggyBack ECU . You'll see the ECU and they walk you through it's removal.

Don't forget to insure your ECU w/ the shipping company when you send it out.
One of the members on the SX4 site had his go AWOL on the journey back from the reflash.
The thing is probably worth anywhere from $1k to 1500 if I had to make a guess.

I have seen the video but it only shows how to tap into the ECU but doesn't show how to remove it.

Yeah, I am def going to insure it. Dont wanna lose it on its way out lol. Thanks for the reminder Ronzuki!
