30K service

I passed the 30k mark, and was wondering what the service requires. Manual says coolant change, transmission oil change, and oil change. Anything else?

I imagine not. Most other components require inspection, but not a replacement. I am not sure what kind of spark plugs the Kizashi comes with, but it's probably platinum or iridium tipped. These have an extended life and probably need replacement at 60,000 or 75,000 miles.
Fluids are typically what need to be replaced at these service intervals.

Our cars have electronic power steering so there is no power steering fluid.

The fluids are:
1) Motor Oil
2) Transmission fluid; either CVT or Manual transmission fluid.
3) Coolant
4) Brake fluid (doubles as clutch fluid in manual trans. models)
5) Windshield Washer fluid (no replacing, just refilling as needed)
6) Rear differential gear oil (for AWD models)

Does the AWD have a transfer case? I thought it was an electronically engaged clutch that transfers power to the rear diff.
Most AWDs don't have a transfer case, unlike most 4x4s.
Correct me if I am wrong about the Kizashi as I have the FWD model.

There is a non-selectable tranfer case (basically a driveline direction swapping box, horizontal to inline) as well as a rear differential. Everything in an AWD Kiz and SX4 drivelines spins all the time, AWD on or not. The clutch pack ahead of the rear diff is electronically controlled when AWD is switched on. fyi, the rear diff fluid was supposed to have been changed at 7,500 miles. 30k miles sounds way too early to be replacing extended life coolant, unless, your coolant is the green stuff as opposed to blue.

Check your service manual for the 'what' and the 'when'. CVT fluid is another long-life item.

Uh oh, I guess I am way overdue for a diff service. I haven't used AWD much, so hopefully not an issue. As for the coolant, what comes with it initially? Do I just check to see if it's green?

Without looking at a 2011 mant. or owner's manual that comes with your year car, I'd venture to say it's the extended life blue stuff. Have a peak inside the bottle......Our 2011 SX4 came w/ blue whereas the 2008 SX4 had regular green.

The factory fill in the diff is most likely a break-in oil for the ring and pinion gear set. Not changing it out as recommended could be a problem, won't know until many miles/years down the road. The bigger issue for you is that you have no proof it was done as required in your cars maint. schedule book should you need to file a warranty claim within the 100K mile drivetrain warranty.
