To keep this information in a central place please use this thread to document what you've heard from Suzuki regarding repairing your paint chips, and what, if anything, you needed/need to provide to get the repairs done.

Thanks.

From the other paint chip thread:

Good luck everyone else, and keep up the great work with documenting these defects.

Kudos to Suzuki!!

Many thanks to Suzuki. They are working with me to correct the peeling paint.

American Suzuki kindly repainted my front bumper and replaced my grill. I subsequently am getting a clear bra for the front and rear bumpers.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully they'll take care of everyone else as well.

I just had my Kizashi into the dealership so they could get an estimate on repainting it for us... Being as how it has been the only lingering blight on the car, it made us feel really good about our car again.

An estimate? Are you paying for it out of pocket?

I got my replaced/newly painted bumper on yesterday. Now i am hoping i don't pick up any significant chips before it is covered again by clear film. Since it is not the factory paint (which I have not really had a problem with), I do not know what to expect.

I will be careful to not follow trucks when i can avoid them.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I just got my car back from being re-painted. Suzuki only repainted certain parts (the hood and the back door sills) but overall, I'm happy. I counted 87 chips before it was fixed...and it still had never been on a dirt road. They also re-adjusted my back doors and fixed the other TSB/recall issues. I had a Carolla as a rental for a week....really made me miss my Kizashi. Everything went well and I'm happy with it. I'm still concerned I will have numberous trips back because the whole car wasn't re-painted...so I'm suppose to drive to the dealership if it starts to get really bad in another area. This normally wouldn't be a problem, but I live 2 1/2 hours away. Hopefully the really rough parts are taken care of and the other areas will hold up. Although I'm not 100% satisfied with Suzuki's decision on my paint, Sukuzi has been great to deal with. They've always responded to me in a timely manner and they've won back my respect. I wanted to thank everyone on here that helped me out, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, there have been some new members that I think are quite critical and mean so this will be the last time I'm on here. I definitely don't need the drama. BUT I just wanted to update the people who've helped me. Thanks for everything!
