Also hi!
Congrats! Welcome to the club!

Color? Year? Trim? Miles?
Silver/2011/SLS/132k miles (lots of highway)

This is my second car, first one being a 2007 SX4 I purchased last year. Planning on keeping both, but considering the Kizashi has leather/power everything, the SX4 will see minimal use. I travel 450 miles every other weekend and I really needed something more comfortable. Other than discovering today that the OEM battery was completely dead when the car gave me all the possible warnings available after being parked for 10 minutes with the engine off and AC on, I really love this car and I plan on keeping it for a decade if I can. Looking forward to contribute to this forum.

Cheers!
You're a lot braver than I am. I still want an SLS, but I'm not brave enough to get one with that many miles. That's like 11,700 miles worth of road trips each year, and that's excluding regular, around-town driving. I don't think I've even put 10K miles on mine in a single year yet.

You'll have to let us know if you get to the 200K mark, which to my knowledge, no one has gotten near that yet. :drive:

Car needs some minor work on the suspension and some slight body work at the bottom of the rear doors due to rust. The front grill needs to be painted and theres a lot of rock chips on the bumper. 1500$ of "repairs" at most. The interior looks like the car just left the dealer. Couldn't find a single scratch/stain anywhere and literally every feature works properly.

I brought my SX4 from 96k to 119k in just a year and other than replacing whatever the previous owner failed to replace, the car has never required any repairs. I'm very confident that this car will be just as reliable.

I'm surprised to hear about the rust. I think that's the first time I've heard of body rust on one of these.

Dunno what's up with the orientation of the first pictures. Anyway... I'm guessing the previous owner didn't know how to park next to the sidewalk/curb, since the damage is at the same location and the wheels are in a pretty bad shape (visually). Luckily, I have a friend that can sandblast them for free and powder coat them whenever I pick a color.

very shocked to see the rust but this 200% caused by the "little" accident earlier in its life.

Without a doubt. The damage exposed the bare sheet metal which will rust after time as there is no protectant (paint) on it. This is why touch-up paint is more for than aesthetics and serves as a sealant against rust.

Took a ride to the Alfa Romeo / Fiat Dealer this morning and picked up my order of:

to do the SX4 and another round on the Kiz. Also one of these that went missing a couple weeks ago:

Also passed a red Kiz pulling into service parking as I was leaving.

I had yet another slow leak plugged, this low tire pressure warning and I are becoming arch enemies. Drove my girlfriend's Aerio down to the corner gas station to get the tire plugged and it felt as if her power steering wasn't working so I put winter air into both the Kizashi and Aerio tires. Set them both to 40 psi to allow for some shrinkage as it cools down.

I had a Kizashi-intensive weekend. I changed the oil with the Fumoto valve for the first time and also rotated the tires. I also restored the headlights to remove the light UV haze and yellowing on them. I used a combination of Meguiar's and 3M products I've used before in kits or individually to get the best results from each process.
I'll post more details on each of these in their respective threads I already have from before.

Inspected my CV boots after having to replace both front axle shafts on my step son’s E46. All four of mine were intact but are starting to do that thing where the rubber starts to feel like sandpaper. I guess 8 years and 137K miles will do that. Fingers crossed they outlast the transmission and that the transmission has another 137K left.
