I just noticed that it looks like the Navigation unit is different for the 2013 model. Is this only for the non-RF version? It looks a lot more OEM. Anyone have this unit?

It's been talked about a bit.

IMHO you're a lot better off with the Kenwood/ RF system - at least for audio performance. The new unit is basically an OEM item made for Suzuki and not a (more expensive) aftermarket double DIN like has previously been used.

I've got a Kenwood with the non RF and it's quite powerful. From posts by Tamsta a while back the newer unit isn't so good.

The 2013 NAV unit (Garmin i believe ?) works fine and the bluetooth with my iphone for both calls and music works great. BUT the non-RF amp and speaker combo are not spectacular. Certainly fine for most listening. But It really does lack bass, which, as a DJ and electronic musician, I find hard to deal with. I'll probably get a floor-mounted sub at some point. One advantage of the non-RF cars is - if you're like me and use a lot of your trunk space for gigs/work/etc. - you don't have the sub hanging down to obstruct cargo.

Yeah, I have been considering swapping it for a JL TW3 because of that

I agree with you johnhenry. The '13 nav unit works well enough for our purposes but I would love some more guts to the sound... We pack the trunk to it's limits when we travel, so the sub woofer would def be in the way!
Have to find a way to slip something better in, but not too intrusive...somewhere...

I had some serious frustration with this issue:

My biggest frustration was that this unit does not come with the option to add SAT radio...so I am stuck with this funky aftermarket solution. you can read more about it in my post.
