Trying to buy a cleaner but don't know if its fake or real. Are the seats real? I can tell the shift boot and ebrake are clearly fake. Wat about the door trim?

Real (and even if not, OK to use leather products on plastic - not the other way around)

Shift boot and ebrake boot are fake. Door trim looks fake at least in models with cloth seats. I can't imagine the doors would be different for leather seat models. SLS and GTS steering wheel, shift knob, and e-brake handle are real leather from what I can tell.

I agree with tc that you can use leather cleaning products on leatherette.

How could we tell if the door trims were real leather? They're definitely nicer than the shift and ebrake boot.

If our 2004 Suzuki XL-7 Limited is anything to go by, the amount of real leather will be minimal. eg. the "leather" seats only have leather "facings" on the areas you directly sit on and the remainder is vinyl.

But I'm hoping I'm wrong and things have improved at Suzuki ;) . The Kizashi was a big step up in quality and perhaps has more real leather.

I felt them the other day getting out of the car and they feel quite soft, almost like the seats or steering wheel leather, hence my question.

The Kizashi was definitely a top-of-the-line car for Suzuki, so maybe they even went all-out on the doors as well. :D
