I haven't run a full tank through yet, so I don't definitive numbers for my vehicle. It appears to be 25 mpg combined so far...

I've only filled 3 times so far, 19.1,20.5 and 20.1 I think have been my numbers. My range after fill up is usually 250. I think these numbers will improve some? We will see...

Your range is 250 after the fill up? Really? Mine is usually over 300.

At 20 mpg, you could get 300 on a 15 galleon fill-up. I have been getting 380-390 at my 26 mpg average. Got almost 500 at 32mpg on I 81 last month (yes - really pushed that one - took almost 16 galleons).

We traded in our 2000 Cadillac Eldorado on our SLS. We had owned the Cad. sense new and it had 87K miles. The repair and maintenance on that car were staggering. When the gas gauge quit and it was estimated to cost $1800 to repair we desided "trade it off". The Kizashi does not ride as soft, but I feel it is a better built car. The Cad. cost $52k new, but was overpriced. We have owned several Cadillacs, BMW's and others. You pay a lot for "bragging rights". At 75 years old I don't need that any more. I now enjoy my old Mercedes-Benz 280SL on sunny days and realy enjoy driving the Kizashi all the other times.

My range today after fill up was 285. I have been consistently putting 14 gallons in and even the conputer read out matches pretty close to my mpg, it says I am averaging 20.5mpg. I was "empty" with light on but it only took 14gal.

We'll see.

I think I have posted this, maybe earlier in this thread, but I have never put in more than 12 even almost on E. My light's never come on either though, I wonder how low it will go before it comes on. Maybe I just don't have the guts to really try it.

Ghost,

You can try to stretch the envelope by taking a 1 gallon plastic gas can with you one time and see where your fuel gauge accuracy might be. I do that with my vehicles once during ownership just too know.

Haha, that might be a good idea. Last night I was on E and the range gauge said 15 miles. When I filled up it only took 12.4 gallons. Weird.

I was checking a Kizashi on the dealer's lot while mine had the subwoofer replaced the other day. The empty light was on, and the gauge was way below the last line (almost over the E letter, much more than I would dare let it go before filling up). The car still started OK, but I really don't know how long it would have been able to drive before running out of gas.
