Hi guys. I was driving last night with my window down and noticed that I had a noise coming from my engine. It sounded like the noise from my old Subaru but not as loud. I f you have ever had a car with the noise of your turbo spooling up or the other noise is the noise of a waste gate valve. The turbo sound is more a whistle but this noise was more like a waste gate valve. Has any of you ever heard such noise from your Kizashi as I know this car is none turbo I found it a bit strange.I was coming in around 5k revs. I could actually make the noise come on and off

I am no mechanic, but it sounds like the exhaust manifold may need tightening. Alternatively, it may well be completely normal, and you haven't noticed it before because your windows were open, and you were in a built up area. My advice would be to close your windows, turn on the air con, and turn up the radio.

That is great advice and that is what I did last night. There is another noise and I did think it was the exhaust so Im going to take it to my local Suzuki garage just for a check. Cheers paininthenuts

Let us know what you find out. I've heard a hissing noise from outside the car when idling. It fooled me thinking I had a tire that was punctured, but I couldn't find anything. It actually fooled me twice as I forgot that I did the same thing before.

Find out anything? I heard the hissing again recently on ours.

Could it be a snake in the glove box ?

My Kizashi makes all sorts of noises; whines, clatters, rattles, wheezes, etc.

Last tank Mobil premium 27.9 MPG.
I drove it in to work this very morning at speeds in excess of 105 MPH.
It currently has 125,618 miles on it.
I assume the noises it makes are normal.......

That would scare the crap out of us.

It actually comes from the rear, so I'll check for a snake in that area.
