Are there any Blue Kizashis in Australia?

When I bought my Kizashi about 18 months ago, I selected blue from the brochure and signed the paperwork, but a few days later got a call from the dealer saying they didn't make blue any more as "the Kizashi is a prestige car and blue is not a prestige colour". Is this true or was the dealer being less than honest? I live in Adelaide and have never seen a blue one here.

Welcome. I've not noticed any blue Kizashi's either (I'm also in Adelaide), however this would tend to indicate your dealer may have been not been entirely truthful- as there are 2011 updated models in blue. Or do you have the later update where the Sport body kit was introduced across the range?

They most likely just wanted to move stock they had.
What colour did you end up with?

Red. Yeah - like that is a prestige colour!

Do you have the the later model (where the sport body kit was introduced across the entire range) or the earlier 2011 update where the models changed from XL/ XLS to Touring/ Prestige?

Oh really?
I think this BMW M3 trashes that notion. Long live blue.
Heck, I even love the French Blue.

According to Redbook
http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/research ... zashi/2012 that would be the MY11 series with the Rockford Fosgate audio system, rather than GPS? So blue was available in MY11- unless they scrapped it mid model or the Sport AWD wasn't available in it?
The red looks good.

The dealer probably said the same line except replaced "blue" with "red" when he had blue Kizashis in stock and some other customer wanted red.
