I'm looking at a base 2013 Kizashi with the 6MT. Does anyone know what the RPMs are like between 70-80mph? Is it buzzy or is it pretty quiet?

It's probably cruising at around 2500-3000 rpm. I find mine to be very smooth, smoother than a similar CVT model I test drove. There's also not much wind noise at that speed even with my roof rack. It's a comfortable highway ride.

The engine doesn't start getting buzzy until around the upper ends of the tachometer, past 4-5k RPM or so.

A nice quiet highway ride.

I test drove a 6MT 2011 Kizashi S about a week ago, and I was surprised at how smooth and forgiving the clutch was. Kinda felt like the transmission in the VW Golf GTI. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to what the RPM's were when I took it on the highway, but it seemed like they weren't any higher than the RPM's of my Kizashi with a CVT. It cruises in the 75-80 mph range at 2100-2300 RPM range.

70 mph is 2500 spot on.

My 2012 GTS at 70mph sits around 2500-2600 RPM in 6th. It's a nice quiet ride.

It's quiet at high speeds and RPMs will be under 3000 at those speeds. I must say however, that the Kizashi's 6th gear does not really like speeds under 65 MPH so you'll want to keep the cruising speed up or shift down.

I use 6th gear @40 without any lugging.
