Help customising appearance.

Hi,

I have been lurking on here for a while. I have recently become the owner of a white 2010 AWD Kizashi in Brisbane, Australia. I could not be happier with the car, and it grows on me more and more everyday. I've also come to appreciate the RF sound system - it is really well thought out and the sub is very nice and 'musical'.

I wish to customise the appearance a little. My original thought is to black out the bumper, but I thought of taking it a step further and also blacking out the curved area underneath the headlight, and possibly the lip spoiler too. Is this too much?

I also thought to powder coat the OEM 18" alloys in a gunmetal colour.

Also, what are your thought on the chrome accents? Thinking of blacking them out too, to get a theme going, like the Karbon edition. But I do like them in chrome. Any input is welcome.

Check out "blacked lights" in the gallery section from June 30. He has done some of the mods you are asking about and the car looks great.

Sorry, why would you want to do this. Apart from the fact customised cars look sad, you will effect the value greatly, and unless it's one of your mates buying it, your going to struggle to get a buyer when you sell it. The Kizi is a brilliant looking car, and anything you do to it will make it look worse, not better. My suggestion is to wash it, polish it, clean it out, take the odd photo, and then just love it. If you have money to spare, you would be better off chipping it or something.

Yeah..I decided it would look silly after all. I'm still going to black out the strip between the two grills though. And powder-coat or replace wheels. I agree though, the car is perfect and Suzuki ought to be applauded.
