The rearview mirror is worthless when the stereo is on ('cause I got it so loud the mirror buzzes into uselessness).

Did you try tightening the allen screw on the mirror? (I was amazed how well mine now stays put even when I'm "thumpin" down the road)

Thanks; I'll take a look at that (and report back).

I ditched the standard day/night flip rv mirror and swapped it with an auto day/night rv mirror from a Acura, fits perfectly and tapped into a ing wire under the dash. Was only $30 or so on eBay. I need a auto dim mirror, too many trucks/SUV running around with cheeseball HID kits.

Auto dim is nice, but I like manual flip mirrors. If you reverse the day night flip direction, you'd be amazed at how many people with brights on behind you will retreat. The mirror flips down back at them, instead of into your ceiling. And no, I haven't had one person lose control and fly off the road behind me because they got their own brights back in their face. Mirror works exactly the same for you, so there's no downside.

Here's mine, a bit larger than the standard one too.

Only the idiots with their brights on in your mirror for miles.

What I meant was: "I've passed them at 90+ MPH, and they've receded into invisibility".

Last tank 23.7 MPG, Mobil premium.
