Hello all, long time member, but infrequent poster. Hope all's well?. The last time I posted I contemplated changing out the Kizashi for a different vehicle. Long story short. Since I'm retiring the first week of July, I have taken the plunge and purchased a 2016 Chevy SS sedan which I'll receive in less than 2 weeks. I grappled with this choice as you can imagine. Knowing the quality and attention to detail as we do it is very difficult to move into something that might not be as refined. However, having said that it'll be a different driving/ownership experience. I am posting because I am selling my 2011 Kizashi SLS AWD with Navigation and back up camera in Vivid red. The car has 47K+ miles and is in very good condition, slightly modified, ie, K & N filer, strut tower brace, RRM roll bar, otherwise stock. 2 Recalls have been taken care of. I live in Northern California and I'm just putting it out there. If this not the appropriate forum, please let me know. I will check back on the forum, but I can also be reached via email at [email protected] My best.

Good luck. My suggestion, get it back as close to stock as possible. Throw back on the stock airbox and delete the strut tower brace and roll bar. Then sell them on here.
People associate modded with abuse. A stock car will sell quicker most of the time.

I don't have any pictures yet. Take delivery in less than 2 weeks. I ordered it in Some like it hot red metallic paint, a orangey red metallic that really changes with the light and pops in direct sunlight. I think it's a classy and elegant color. As far as the aftermarket parts are concerned you're right. The brace and air filter are no problem. But, I'm reluctant to remove the rear roll bar so much work. Thanks again

Congrats on the Chevy SS. If there is any time to get one, it would be now. They are set to be discontinued (if not already) and are probably the last of the non-luxury 4 door V8 performance sedans to be ever made. Given GM is closing down its Holden of Australia manufacturing plants where these cars are made, it was a good choice to get it now as a last chance.
As for the mods on the Kizashi, I agree that selling it stock is probably best. As for the rear sway bar, no one can tell it's aftermarket unless they know the Kizashi very well. The RRM unit is painted a low-key grey and looks rather OE. However, given RRM discontinued them, you could probably sell it here and get something for it rather than giving it away when you sell the car.
Lastly, feel free to post a listing to sell the Kizashi on this forum but please put it (along with the photos) in the "Personal Classifieds" section.

Thanks, KuroNekko, there will be a MY 2017 and then the end of the road. It's unknown, if some variant will be continued likely AWD, FWD, V6 at most. Unlike many owners on the Chevy SS Forum who have always driven high performance vehicles, both foreign and domestic, this is my first high performance car ever with a big V8 and 6 speed manual transmission. I will be taking high performance driving education to ensure my safety out there.
As for the RRM bar, I will tell any prospective owner about it and about the need for periodic lubrication of the mounting points. Will also given them first dibs regarding the extras that I have.
It's very interesting how many former BMW owners have traded in for the Chevy SS sedan. The car isn't advertised, but it has a fervent following. The closest thing to this car is the BMW M5 at 95K and that manual is scheduled to be discontinued as well. I'm not buying a car, I'm buying an experience. LOL.

I've actually heard about the BMW expats that now own the SS. My understanding is that many of them wanted a large normally aspirated engine in a performance sedan but the Germans are now hell-bent on forced-induction. The M5 used to be a V10 and now it's a twin turbo V8. The M3 was a V8 and now a turbo inline 6. While I'm sure the performance is great, I'd be scared to own one out of warranty. Lexus still offers normally-aspirated V8s that will probably be running fine in 30 years but the vehicles aren't as dynamic nor performance-oriented as the Germans. I think the SS is favored among some as the no-nonsense massive V8 performance sedan for the big engine sedan purists. Dodge also caters to that crowd too but rumor is that the Chrysler 300 will soon be morphed into something like a FWD with a V6 instead of a RWD with an available V8. Given the 300 and the Charger share a platform, looks like it may affect the Charger too unless the two cars branch off. I imagine that soon, you'll just have to get a muscle car like the Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger to get a big V8.
I wish you all the best with the SS. For one thing, you'll be owning a car just as rare as the Kizashi. I think I've only seen one SS ever in the wild and only seen them up close at an auto show.

Just wanted to post a video of my car just prior to shipping. Should receive it here in Northern California by next Thursday.

We only have one life to live! I personally keep my bucket list close to me...We visited Chichen Itza, the Grand Canyon, New York and La Havana in the past year and we are leaving for Europe in a few months. The color of your SS is pretty nice. I thought the car would ''stand out'' more, but at the same time it keeps a classy look without being too much like certain new cars. Congrats.
