Hi Guys
Ive just looked at the newer Kizashi's an I've found something odd.
They only have 7 Speakers? How is this right, my 2010 XLS had 10 Speakers?
Please tell me they found away to do it will less speakers, but keep it banging away.
The sound system made everyone envious.
Thanks

Im actually looking at a 2013, but yes by XLS had 10.
Im not even sure where they were, but I as comparing there cars online an it stated there was 10 but now 7.
But there was.
1 The dash
4 Doors
2 In the back
1 Sub woofer in between the back ones.
2 Near the door handles in the front.
Where are yours?
Also the sound was UNBELIEVABLE!! Im sure it would be the same in newer one?

Well it's the same in my 2012 GTS Sport: extremely loud, yet crisp.
But loud, RF loud

So do you mean you also have 7 Speakers?
If so do you now where they are, also do you have a subwoofer in yours?

That makes sense, did they discontinue the Fosgate system?
Im looking at photos of a 2013 AWD top of the line, but they don't show the speakers.
I don't know if the photos at the wrong angle, but it looks like it doesn't have a Subwoofer?
I did see a kizashi newer than mine along time ago, it may of been the lower one. But it did not have any speakers in the back.
That would make sense with having 7 speakers.
Cheers

Somewhere along the lines in the later 2 years of production for the U.S. market the head units changed in the higher end Sport GTS/SLS trim levels. Not certain if that deleted the RF alliance. The RF system in these cars was specifically engineered for the Kizashi, w/ the 10 speakers. Late in 2010 I searched all around for a left-over GTS, primarily because that was the lowest model that included the best factory stereo available for the car. Other than that, I'd have searched for a lower cost model.

Well funny you say that.
Ive just found that out from reading other posts.
I've still got my 2010 RF Kizashi.
I could rip that you an put it in a 2013 AWD.

That's probably a whole bunch of rippin' and tearin' to make that happen. That said, the parts are going to be worth their weight in gold. Early on in my ownership I had to have the amp in the trunk replaced (under warranty). Parts manager at the dealer said it was a $1200 part back then. So yeah, I'd take what you can out of it before it heads of to the salvage yard. Better yet, keep it for parts if you can store it...I would.
