Hi everyone. been awhile since I have been on . the other day I had to drive in the recent cold blast . car started just fine although it wasnt' happy .. but driving it a little ways had to go up hill made a loud sound like a shrill for a brief moment, it came from the right side front area. not sure what that could be as it doesn't do that when it is warm out. any ideas?

Sounds like the serpentine belt. They can squeal momentarily when they are cold if they aren't in optimal condition.

Yep...mine did that yesterday at -26 degrees (feels like -31 with the wind). I do have an engine block Heater...I should buy a timer and use it.

Not to hijack this thread though I'm curious if there's any good replacement for the serpentine belt?
