Interesting observation about Smart Pass

My wife's mom has a Nissan Altima. I thought this was pretty interesting. LOL

Must be the same manufacturer, surely. Some of the similarities are too exact.

Anyway - you guys get an extra button to Australia! we don't have the Red Alarm button. I take it this may be a panic alarm / sets off the cars alarm if needed? (or do you guys have an alarm you can arm / disarm independant of the door locks?)

Yeah I'm sure that's what it is, just sharing technology. Lol

Yes the red is a panic alarm button that can be pressed if needed.

What year is the Nissan? One of my coworkers has an Armada that's a few years old and her key fob looks even closer to mine. Maybe Suzuki bought the leftovers when Nissan redesigned theirs?

Separate interesting SmartPass thing, the other day I was at a golf driving range that's right next to a power station and has some lines overhead and my smart pass wouldn't work at all from the outside. The buttons on the remote worked intermittently. I was afraid the car wasn't going to start, but once I climbed inside the car it was fine.

When i got my car tinted there was a Nissan 370z there and the guy said we had the same keys lol

If i keep my phone and pass in the same pocket it will cause it not to work. GRRR
