And now....

....the two new fronts and used rear 225/50 R17 just mounted; sweaty work.
Huge diff, them light wider wheels.
More testing required.

Last tank Gulf regular 27.7MPG. Poopy.

So a bit of testing yesterday; 299.9 miles worth.
Started the morning by re-torquing the wheels, and running 40PSI front, 38 rear.
Drove it easy and hard, paved and unpaved.
Quiet.
Smooth.
Can detect the difference between old front and refreshed rear suspensions.
Tires are quiet and grippy.
More testing required. Testing never stops.

Got a friend looking a a new Caddy Blackwing; I ain't got 97K (but he does). Of course, the car is in Maryland. Smellin' road trip!

Unbelievable cars.

Been a while......

As much as I love my Kizashi(s), I was reminded again just how cool it can be to get something new and different. My friend just traded his 2012 CTS for 2019 CT6 Platinum with the Blackwing motor. Man datsalotta motor. Since the 'regular' Blackwing makes it to 60 in 3.8 seconds, it's fair to guess his will get there in under 4.5 since it weighs about 500lb more. We went for a drive, and all I could compare it to was a heavily tuned WRX. Except bigger, way bigger.

I'd been exploring replacement options oh since forever, and decided the only current choices might be a 2018 ATS, or a 2018--2020 WRX Luxury (because while it's easy to add a CD player to the Caddy, it's impossible to add pushbutton start to a non-Luxury WRX). In the meantime, I continue to repair and drive my 2013 Kizashi.

Window sticker $99K, transaction price a bit less, AND he paid cash. But with only 899 total Blackwing motors manufactured, he had to have one. Lotta motor........500hp, 574lb-ft torque, in a 4,860lb CT6.

Driven Kizashis over 365K miles in less than ten years, averaging over 104 miles per day. I believe I am now qualified.
