Gotta have fun while I can. It'll soon be time to tuck-er away in the garage protected from the worst of winters scourge and the threat of getting bashed into by any one of a million idiots out there sliding around in the foul weather. Mazda's time to do the daily dirty work coming soon.

I immediately thought "coward", but that's not fair.

I actually understand.

But I personally prefer the excitement of near-(or completely)-wrecking my Kizashi all year round.........

It's my baby now, so to speak. I bought it new, hammered every mile into it and love it. I'll never get another one, and really enjoy the fair-er weather antics, which includes the rainy AWD romps I've grown to relish lately. So, yeah, coward is fair. If it gets wrecked, it'll be by my doing whilst blazing along with that big stupid grin on my face. Ever since it became apparent we'd never see the next generation Kizashi, I became cowardly in the winter specifically. No worries though I'll have ample opportunity to put the zoom-zoom through its paces in the crappy weather. The Mazda is new, and nice and comfy...but, it ain't no Kizashi. It's a CUV, need I say more? Therefore I view it in the same light as I did the Heep...if it gets wrecked, oh well, they're a dime a dozen. I literally passed three 1st gen CX-5s heading the opposite direction coming home yesterday in the span of less than a mile. Saw my first Kizashi on the road around here, in forever, just this afternoon, pulling out of an Amish potato farm. My twin, albeit much cleaner than mine...obviously a tourist and not from around here. It was distinct in that it was missing that rain soaked dried-road-mud-dirt patina so prominent covering local vehicles this time-o-year.

We may actually be related.

My Kizashi is filthy, but it's gassed and ready........

Got a rock caught in the right rear brake; ruined rotor so far.
Looks like the pads aren't releasing.
Noisy.

New cross-drilled rotors soon on their way (BrakePerformance.com).
