Have you checked with Suzuki whether or not your car's VIN required the TCM re-flash that came out way back when (2011/2012 time frame)?

Didn’t think the 2010s were part of that recall. Have any documentation I can share with them? They’re pretty lazy.

It's probably floating around this forum in an earlier dated thread. That's how I found out about it. My 2010 wasn't affected so I didn't keep a copy of the TSB. It may be in the Facts sticky where there are some links to TSBs.

Could have also been a service Info Bulletin as well...don't recall. The Service center should be able to punch your VIN in and determine if it has been done or not or even needs to be.

Dealer sucks. Only one within 50 miles. They said they can’t check if my vehicle has a TSB. Instead they ordered all the parts from past recalls; I said I already had them done, check my VIN. They said they can’t. And they won’t change the transmission filter. What a joke.

Bought 14 quarts of trans fluid from the old Suzuki dealer (now Marketplace Mazda). Found a trans shop who will do the fluid swap, let me drive around, then come back again for another swap. Bought the pan filter and cooler line filter, but can't find the Mitsubishi o-ring. Searched and searched and found everyone saying thanks for the p/n, and talking about the Mitsubishi o-ring but no one actually says what the p/n is! LOL

Want to have everything ready for the first fluid change next week.

I have a few friends and family who have had issues with CVT transmissions as well. Most recently, my folks 2014 Subaru Forester's transmission kicked the bucket. All of said people get their regularly scheduled maintenance, etc. So, this is certainly not an issue limited only to Suzuki. I think something important to note is that none of these folks were recommended by the dealer or manufacturer to change the CVT fluid at any interval.

Thx for the #. Trans place told me 50-60k and 30k after that. That’s what Subaru and Nissan are telling owners now.
