Anyone ever get the Engine mode screen on their center console...
you get the digital read outs on, your engine RPM, MPH, Raw Fuel level, True fuel Level, etc..
Clicked on the Trip lever on my sterring wheel, and it went through all these readings...then re-started the car, and the console readings went back to the normal.
Nothing went wrong, just never seen this Mode on the console before ??

This explained in detail in your owners manual page 2-85, "Setting Mode".

There is a second page and finally "default". I think this is what your looking for.

Cool! My A4 had a similar mode on the climate control screen.

Has anyone got the Engine Mode Screen to work? I'd love to get the MPH on the screen. The speedometer digits are to small. It's annoying to keep the car at 35,45 or 55 mph. Who needs the speedometer to go up to 140? If it was only up to 110 the speedometer would be so much easier to read.

I've read the manual and played with all the buttons and the only screen I can find is the settings screen as shown on 2-85 of the manual. I have a GTS, so maybe the SLS has something a little different? Other than that, I cannot get whatever mode the "Engine Mode" is. But it would be cool to have speed and RPMs displayed digitally on the center console. So if anyone gains any additional insight to this, please post.

Having read through the whole service manual I didn't find any way of getting to that mode either. However did find a way of turning the DRL's off for those who want to add LED's without messing their high beam lights.
)Push engine switch to change the ignition mode to “ON”.
2)Perform Steps a) through f) described below within 15 seconds after Step 1).
a)Turn lighting switch to CLEARANCE position.
b)Turn lighting switch to OFF position.
c)Repeat Steps a) and b) 4 times.
d)Turn lighting switch to HEAD position.
e)Turn lighting switch to OFF position.
f)Repeat Steps d) and e) 4 times.
3)When Step 2) is completed, the mode changes automatically. Warning buzzer (in combination meter) sounds by the specified number for each mode as follows.
•Changed from “Non-operable” mode to “Operable” mode: Buzzer sounds twice.
•Changed from “Operable” mode to “Non-operable” mode: Buzzer sounds once.
4)After confirming buzzer, push engine switch to change the ignition mode to “OFF”.
I guess this needs to go in DIY section too.
