I'm thinking about getting these. I've considered the OE mud flaps over time but after reading that they don't fit the Sport models, I nixed the idea. However, I now want mud flaps to protect the side and rear from chips when I drive on dirt roads. I like to go hiking and camping but can't always take the GF's CUV so I figured this was a way to protect the Kizashi's chip-tastic paint. The Rally Armor mud flaps are also much larger than the OE accessory part so they should protect better for my purpose.
I know some people have installed the Rally Armor Universal mud flaps but the cars ranged across the trims. A search on the topic showed that at least one person installed them on a Sport model with 18 inch wheels.
Old posts from several years ago stated there were different sizes to choose from. Now, there is only one size (at least intended for cars) that doesn't come with any hardware. For this reason, I'm curious about the best place to mount them. Any one active on the forum have Rally Armor Universal mud flaps? Like them? Any tips on hardware and installation?
Thanks.

I have the universal URs installed on the front. The weather turned before I got them on the rears. On the front I just used the existing push pins and added one extra hole where I thought it needed more support and shoved a push pin through there as well. The rears will be more difficult because there aren't existing pins to use and the lip of the fender isn't very thick there either.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think the URs are worth the upgrade? A set is like 5x the price of the standard flaps. I'm leaning on trying out the standard flaps because I really don't need them unless I go on dirt roads. Not much mud, snow, or even rain where I am so I don't need serious protection all year round. I guess the URs can be an upgrade after trying out the standards and seeing how they hold up to my use.

I can't speak for the standards. I wanted the URs for the look and also for the flexibility as I will drive through deepish snow somewhat regularly. I was worried the standard might have too much resistance if I was backing through the snow and could potentially be pulled off by it.

Makes sense. I'm not sure that I need the thicker and stronger URs for my use thus don't think it's worth the upgrade for me, at least until I try the standards. Tonight, I saw a Mazdaspeed3 with a set of the standard Rally Armor flaps and figured it should be fine for my purpose.

Thanks for the input.
