Hi guys new to the forum so hello 👍

I'm in the UK and had my kizashi for four years and has only done 60 thousand miles, been serviced regularly etc etc but I have noticed the CVT is more whiny especially in the flappy paddles mode.
Been told by some oh it's fine they all do that as they get old or get rid quick before it dies.

Any advise I love the car but don't want a five grand paperweight

Steve.

Hi and welcome.

With CVTs, the most critical factor is the condition of the fluid. You should change it out ASAP and have the transmission filter also inspected and cleaned. This will reveal the condition of the CVT in terms of wear. There is a lot on this topic on the forum so you can search it for more details, photos, and options.
In short, at the age and mileage the Kizashis are reaching now, CVT issues are becoming more and more common.
