Problem Solved for lack of AUX input......

Ok So I have been complaing a lot about the lack of an aux input for the Kizashi... I gave up and went to Best Buy, and had them install the $139.99 Hard Wired FM Modulator to give me an Aux jack. They also needed to add some extra wires for the antenna for the stock stereo (Not the Rockford fosgate) are from Honda. So a total of $197 and I now have an auxiliary jack in my Kizashi! The sound quality is actually really good!!! I was worried about static or interference, but fear not... there is NONE!!!! I live in a major city as well. So for anyone who is frustrated with the lack of an Aux input, this is the only solution I've come to. I've called Suzuki almost monthly asking about an aftermarket aux, and they still don't have one.
I hope this helps :D

Can you let me know exactly what components were installed. Where did they install the aux jack?

Well probably make a DIY out of this if you provide all the information. You will get credit.

ISimple Universal Ipod MP3 Cable(from best buy the $139.99 one)
05+ Honda Radio ANT Adapter Cable 200 - $19.99
05+ Honda Amplified Antenna - $19.99

The Guy at Best Buy actually installed everything, but had him put the "switch" for the aux switch on the dash by your right knee- where the "air conditioner thermostat" is.
and the actual aux input jack is in the center console, by the power charger.
He said that the center console just pops out (where the cup holders are)

I am SOOO happy I actually paid to have this installed! Makes life so much easier. Yes you can't use the "seek" function on the wheel, but the volume/mode/mute all work perfectly normal :)

Where are you located ?

I'm in Cleveland ,bought my car from a dealer in PA .
The chimps at my best buy are squirly , and kind of hesitant to take it to them.
I have had nothing but bad luck with my store.
Any pics , or store info would really be helpfull

Why didnt they put an aux jack in ?

Did this in April, self install. IMHO, you either know how to do this type of work, or not, which is why I never posted instructions. I got the Honda antenna adapters and the Schosche (sp) aux in adapter for the antenna wire. The switch and aux in (one piece), fits really nice into the center stack cubby. The biggest pain is getting all the interior pieces out of the way for the install. I had to do some more disassembly than I initially thought to remove that cubby piece.

I would find a competent audio shop to have this done, avoid the big box guys.

You could just a decent aftermarket headunit with a aux input for half of what you paid for just the aux input.

My issue was that I don't have an Ipod, but a Zune and a Creative mp3 player.... almost everything does work with ipods but hardly with the others.
me and electronics don't really get along that is why I had Best Buy do it, and every other shop that I went to quoted me at over $300.
I didn't want to get an entire new head unit, because I do like the way it looks now, but aside from the fact that other mp3 playersdon't work with the usb port...
I realize that others had probably installed these or something similer earlier, but I couldn't find anything not only on here but other sites, so that is the only reason I decided to post this, for other nontechsavy people like me :)

I had an RF modulator installed in my Kizashi after I found out that the stock radio wouldn't recognize my DroidX. Because I use the phone for it's navigation capability as well as a music player and a cell phone, I bought Verizon Wireless's windshield-mount bracket, and mounted it in the lower left side of the windshield, where I can conveniently read the navigation screen, use the music player and answer phone calls. The installer (Safe and Sound in Chicopee, MA) hard-wired a USB power cable and an 1/8th inch stereo headphone plug to the point at the windshield. The installer also wired an on/off switch to one of the dummy switches in the switch panel to the left of the steering column, making for a nice and neat installation that lets me connect and disconnect the phone quickly, and allows me full use of the phone's capabilities.
