I am not sure f the e70 has a protector.. if it does.. it wasn't enough to withstand the ex-wife (but then.. what was?!)
I think it does offer some protection..but not realistically of any major value. In a battle between the curb and some rubber..the rubber will always give-way first If the driver tries hard enough! lol
