The Kizashi should soon show up in Australia. We look forward to seeing members from your region.

Well.. its been over 3 years now.. and still on my original tyres! (MY10 XLS)

They will need replacing soon though I fear.

After any recommendations for good well priced commonly available replacements if anyone can assist!?! Something with a blend of performance and value...

Any advice much appreciated, Ta!

What sort of price range are you hoping for?

There are some listed here in 235/45R18 : http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/store/tyres ... iameter=34

Finding some of the Motor Magazine tyres test features might also give you some ideas? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1045872

Thanks for this.

I don't really want to spend more than $250 per tyre if I can help it.

Was mainly wondering if anyone in Australia had replaced their tyres and if so, what did they use (and are they happy with them?). Am thinking along the lines of taking it to a bridgestone tyre centre or tyrepower etc.

Cheers!

My Kizzy's only done just under 15000 klms so hopefully a while yet before I need to replace my tyres but I'm interested to know what you end up with as I'll be looking for the "value for money" tyre as well.
Keep us informed.

Howdy
Hmm ok.. so it seems for the sized wheels and type of tryes, one of the best options to maintain something hard-wearing, low profile, wide and low noise are the same Yokahama E70's already on it from new. Kumho do something with the right measurements but are apparently noisier and harsher and cost even more.

$378 each for the Yokahama's!?! Hmmm

There's got to be something better out there than the E70's. So you're looking at 235/45R18 going by the previous posts?

You probably won't get as good a mileage tyre with better performance. Going by a few posts (and my experience in 17") the E70's are pretty low on the performance scale so if you're happy to sacrifice some tread life there are other options that will bring the Kizashi to life.

Here's one relatively cheap option:

http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/store/tyres ... -nero.html

$248 ea

Consumer reviews and tests here http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... port%20GTS#

They rate fairly good for noise.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 http://www.jaxquickfit.com.au/tyres/sizes/235-45R18 $310ea - a bargain if you're near Jax outlets? There are a few other options in there but they're not priced. ( If you want a quiet smooth ride don't go near Bridgestone RE050 tyres. :x )

This site is also good for getting an idea on what's out there and rough retail prices http://www.tyresales.com.au/search?sear ... =0&speed=0 I emailed them for quotes when I was searching, but just got sent the RRP by the place that contacted me (no special deals like the site promises.) Things might be different now the site has been running longer.

Thanks for the info!

I think at this stage I might buy 1 new front E70 and get the spare (which is full size alloy with a brand new e70 on it) and use on of the fronts as an emergency spare, then re-think the rears in a few months whenthey are due.

my front passenger rim is chewed pretty godo anyway.. so good chance to use my 'free go' at a new wheel :-)

Sounds like a good idea. It should lessen the "financial shock" as you'll have more time to come to terms with it! ;)

PS: Don't the E70's in 18" have a rim protector strip built into them?
