Yep it happened again, my Kizashi has been involved in another prang.

Happened when mum borrowed the car this afternoon, she was driving through a roundabout when a Holden Astra approaching from the left failed to give way and hit the front passenger side.

The curtain and front passenger seat airbags were deployed upon impact. No one was hurt thankfully. Just now going through the motions of filing the police report and will make an insurance claim in the morning

Oh..and dashcams are awesome

glad to hear your mom is alright. I edited your youtube link so that it could be embedded.

I think I'm going to go get my dash cam hooked back up.

I expect they may total the car out because of the airbags.

That sucks :( I agree that it'll likely get written off

Thanks guys.

Insurance has been sorted and the car will be towed to the panel beaters on Monday for an assessment.
Does seem likely they'll declare it a writeoff with the airbags

Did the other driver eventually stop?

Wow, good thing you had the video. It's why I have mine running anytime my car is being driven.
Did the driver of the Astra ever stop? It looked like they decided to run for it.
Good to hear that your mother is safe and the impact was on the passenger side (for Australia).

Yes, the other driver stopped and provided all his details. Very polite and apologetic gentleman according to mum.
Definitely glad I had the dashcam going, helped me understand exactly what happened in this instance as I wasn't there.

And I thought all the bad drivers were in Sydney! Glad to hear nobody was hurt though. Any idea what you'll buy if the Kizzie is written off?

Got a call from the insurance today. Car is a write off, about $16k worth of damage. Time to look for another car. Will be getting a cheap little runabout for a little while I think
