I think it's your actual wheels that need painting. A similar issue happened to my wheels after an autobody shop power-washed my car without my consent after some bodywork repairs. They blasted the original paint off from flawless condition to looking more like your wheels. I had them paint the wheels to fix it. They unintentionally gave it a darker gunmetal tone but I liked it. It's held up rather well, 10 years or so after. I suggest you paint the wheels and clearcoat it.

i definitely agree, their the ugliest thing about the car. the only reason i havent yet is because i need to sandblast them clean before painting which isnt something i have access to.

we don't have that type of rim in my region mine look OK and it's not painted either from factory some kind of chrome anodized I guess
The flaking paint is commonly seen with the larger 18 inch OE wheels of both the USDM Kizashi and Kizashi Sport. The pictured wheels by the OP are the 18 inch Kizashi Sport wheels like I have. They were claimed to be the newer, lighter weight 18 inch wheels but still had the paint issue of the older one. I think the 17's you have were offered for the Kizashi SE (midgrade trim) in the USDM.SAEED_KIZZY wrote: ↑Tue Sep 24, 2024 7:39 pm we don't have that type of rim in my region mine look OK and it's not painted either from factory some kind of chrome anodized I guess
