Hey guys, has anybody blacked out the grille with vinyl of an aussie kizashi/ any other country or state with front plates? I tried but I cant get the black plate mount off the bumper.

It might be fastened from the rear of the bar? You might be able to access it by only removing the small front under tray that bolts on under the bar (if that is the case.) It's a bit fiddly to remove but can be done.

I had the bar off only a couple of weeks ago but didn't take much notice of that area. Couldn't you get a pro to vinyl around the plate mount?

Could but I want to do it myself, call it bonding:P I got my windows done by Solartint and they did similar vinyls but I'd just rather do it. I might just pull the bumper off for the fun of it and have a look

I need to get my windows done too. The bar isn't that difficult to remove and actually weighs next to nothing. It's basically just a skin that hides a steel impact absorbing bar and supports the grilles/ fog lights.

Well if solartint is down in Adelaide I definately recommend them. They gave me their top grade tint for the price of their bottom and basically all I had to do was ask. After a few weeks a friend scratched my side window with their keys accidently so i took it back to the guys and they re did it for free as well as another side window because they werent happy with the finish (i was) mines a little past the legal limit of 30% but I havnt been defected or anything.

Looking at the bumper, seems easy to remove I might try it tomorrow. I hate the black pop clip things I broke three in my boot liner when i changed my licence plate lights

I tried to cut some vinyl to cover the painted area around the number plate but in the end I bought some Plastidip and did it. It's a great product you can buy it here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Clear-Perfor ... 2c68394236

I think you're onto something there - use google images and search Plastidip Smoke . It can apparently be peeled off if you don't like it too.
