Zerex 50/50 for Asian cars

Hey Everyone,
I'm going to be flushing and changing my coolant in the next day or two, and wanted to know if anyone has tried the Zerex for Asian cars coolant. It is a silicate free ethylene glycol base phosphated blue coolant (which our manual says to use).

Has your Kizashi already got the blue (longer life) coolant in it? I believe they comes from the factory with two different types (eg. mine's got the traditional green coolant which doesn't last as long.)
Green coolant change interval is 3yrs, blue is 8yrs <- which I doubt your Kizashi has reached yet!

It has the blue coolant. It is running low. I don't want to top it off with anything, since I don't know for sure what's in there now. So I'm just going to flush and replace.

Why not top off if you're going to use the same blue coolant anyways? The first change interval is like 7 or 8 years as Murcod said. After that, it shortens to every 3 regardless of coolant type used.
Also, it is low in the radiator or just in the overflow reservoir?

Initial change is 96mths for blue coolant, then every 48mths. Green is 36mths for initial and subsequent.
The blue coolant is called "SUZUKI super long life coolant". Top it up with deionized water only (info from the manual) to maintain it's "life".
If you choose to change it, I'd strongly advise to buy the genuine stuff. You won't be able to drain all the old coolant out and mixing coolant brands can result in very expensive problems (they can interact and form sludge, which blocks radiators etc.) The factory manual actually states to drain the blue coolant and simply refill - it warns against flushing.
If the level is above the low line then perhaps just keep an eye on it?
CAUTION:
• Ethanol or methanol base coolant or water alone should not be used in cooling system at any time as damage to cooling system could occur.
• Cooling system of this model is originally filled with SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) diluted to the 50 percentage with deionized water.
• SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) as supply part is already diluted to the 50 percentage with deionized water. Use it as it is without diluting.
• Any treatment on SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) shown below reduces its durability (maintenance interval) and should be avoided. However, if any of the following cases applies, follow the maintenance schedule of SUZUKI long life coolant (coolant color: Green): icon
— When the SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) is diluted with water other than deionized water.
— When the SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) is mixed with a SUZUKI long life coolant (coolant color: Green).
• Do not flush the cooling system. Doing so may cause new coolant to become diluted by the water remaining in the system. (The cooling system filled with the SUZUKI super long life coolant (coolant color: Blue) needs no flushing.)

X2 on distilled water and not mixing. Had to replace the entire cooling system in my Impala because the previous owner didn't know that about Dexcool.

If you don't know what to get and are only needing a little bit--go with the genuine stuff. Then you don't have to worry.
Even years down the road.

Be aware the deionized and distilled water is not the same.

That is a fact. DI water is expensive to produce....probably more per gallon than a jug of the OE blue stuff ($20). I bought a jug and have used it to top off the Kiz. Wondering actually where it disappeared to in the first place.
Where would one even purchase DI water for use in a car? The pharmaceutical companies I'd worked in made their own and we ran it through our injectable drug vial washers reclaiming it by using it a filtered cascade rinse method within the washer...(cleaner to dirtier) before eventually discharging to drain.

The nearest Suzuki dealership (45 mins away) didn't have any in stock, so I just flushed 4 times with DI wate, and replaced it with the Zerex 50/50 for Asian vehicles. I am an organic chemist myself, and studied the chemistry of both coolants. Even though the Zerex is pink, it is the same thing as "blue technology." I would be careful to just top of with water, as it could dilute the mix below 50/50.
