how do you get the exhaust black off the chrome ports

I don't want to scratch or ruin the chrome there. So is there a way of cleaning this off with out doing damage

I use stainless steel appliance cleaner. Really any lite petroleum based lubricant like wd40 will work great.

I used a Brillo pad and plenty of water. It worked great. Scratching was so minimal it's not even noticeable. I try to pay extra attention to it when washing the car, making sure I clean it good each wash.
