Took a chance on a Duplicolor pearl paint that turned out pretty good. Color is slightly off but overall very happy.

Clear deflector (990AA-00320-001)
was shipped from Australia via an eBay company that sourced it for me:

4wd_partshop

I sent them a message and they were able to get the part from a Suzuki dealer. You may be able to as well if interested.

Duplicolor Perfect Match BHY1805 Powder White Pearl (W1)

Steps were simple - mask off the front of the deflector and spray 2 or 3 coats of Duplicolor on the back.

Nice work! Looks great!

Great to hear that you were able to get a hood deflector from Australia. I got mine years ago when they were still available in the US as Suzuki Accessories. They are now all sold out, it seems. However, the hood deflector was made in Australia so I always suspected that the Aussies have more of them around. The good thing in your case is that you got a clear one. All the ones I've seen sold in the US were smoke. It worked out for me as I have a black Kizashi, but getting a clear one and painting it can be quite ideal as you demonstrated.

I have nasty ding, and addition scratches, on the hood from something large that skipped off it to the right of where your deflector ends. The first and only hood blemish. Deflector wouldn't have done me any good unfortunately. And the hood was one of the few panels that didn't get shingle whip damaged by a tornado last February.

That looks so factory sweet!!! Very well done!

Do you think the Aussie contacts can get other parts for us that aren't available in the US?

Yes! They were extremely helpful. If it's an accessory/part available in Australia I'm sure they can get it.

Awesome! If I ever get time to work on my factory HID conversion, those are the guys that can probably get me the parts. ;)

How does it attach to the hood? Has it been installed before?
