I buy these on ebayImage
In the shallow pan you will be limited on room. I typically add 4 magnets in the very rear of the pan.

So I was finally able to carve out some time to start my drain and fill. The fluid was darker than I expected. Like strong coffee. I got just about 6 quarts out. The pan was pretty clean. Just a few very small flecks of metal. The bottom of the pan had just a bit of grayish sludge that easily wiped out. The magnets were very clean and very little wiped off of them. Tomorrow I'll drain it again and pull the pan. This time I'll pull off the filter screen and hose it down with brake cleaner before filling it again. If I have time, I'll do it a third time but I don't have enough CVT fluid to do it a fourth.

Here's the pan. It looks pretty good to me. Maybe @old tech can weigh in here.

Hello to everyone and happy new year 2022 in Advance! ;)
I have a question it has been 2 years since I changed CVT oil but I only drove 20,000Km(13K) with my car should I change the CVT oil or wait longer?

PS my car at 162,000Km(100K) mileage and CVT oil is in excellent condition no contamination green like a brand new. :D

3 years passed my car at 170,000 now time for a new CVT oil change bunch of 10mm bolts and a 19 mm drain bold crush washer is still good so I keep it. no methal residue and also oil still in good condition a little dark but it's normal too. oil pan plasic cover is cracked too so I took care of it with some glue. I don't see any reason to drop the oil pan so I postponed for next oil change.
