Hey everyone. Picking up my 2012 Kizashi AWD SE tomorrow. Had a quick question...has anyone ever rallycrossed their Kizashi? Do they need an additional skid plate to survive a little bit of dirt?

I don't know of anyone here who rallycrosses their Kizashi. That being said, some folks drive their Kizashi on dirt roads and it seems to hold up fine. The car has a number of plastic underbody panels that provide some protection though their real purpose is for aerodynamics which go to offer better fuel efficiency and noise reduction.
Skid plates are needed for heavier offroading in which you will encounter rocks. The need is dependent on the type of terrain you plan to drive on.
I know that in the Motor Trend "Tokyo to LA, the Hard Way", the Kizashis were outfitted with custom metal skid plates for their journey.

WESHOOT2 driving style might be considered rally cross!

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll probably be alright since the site they use is basically just an open grass meadow. No hard rocks or anything.

Ground clearance (bottoming out the front bumper bar) will probably be your biggest issue. If it's relatively level ground you should be okay.

Wow, a rallycrossed Kizashi! Are you going to do any mods for prep?

If I do it, only mods will be some winter tires.

Welcome to the club! Are you in the Kansas City metropolitan area? Or does the KC stand for something else?

Welcome to the Kizashi life. I drive a lot of dirt roads without any problems (except the need to wash constantly) but not at rallycross speeds. I could use a skid plate for all the dead racoons I've hit lately though.

Belated welcome! I bet rallycrossing the Kizashi would be a hoot. They have a variation of that here on ice which I am dying to try.
But I want to first check the differential and transfer case fluids to make sure they're up to spec first. Racing puts some serious stress on those fluids.
