Many Kizashi owners only have one key fob in their possession. This is kind of scary because if you lose that last key, the car must be towed to someplace that can do it or find an outfit that has the ability and is mobile. This gets extremely costly now. I had found one independent that would try it ( all keys lost) and he has given me a price of $450 after I tow the vehicle to them. I recently contacted both of my nearby dealers and both have given up on programming these keys. Both directed me to an independent who couldn’t do it either. I’ve been wanting to be able to program keys for some time now and decided to buy the expensive unit that could do this. I now own the equipment and have successfully made keys that will work. Programming a second key or even an “all keys lost “ I can do. A refurbished key is $200 in total. A used key after it is unlocked it is $150, both would come with a newly cut emergency key and new battery. For those who would like a brand new OEM key that would currently cost $300. In all cases, the car and any key that you still have must be present. Located in n/w pa.

Key replacement
Refurbished key fobs usually are used that the case has been replaced and the memory has been wiped clean or unlocked as they call it. When programming the Kizashi for keys, you must have all keys present. Otherwise the forgotten will not work if you’ve left one at home. Also, that forgotten key will now be considered locked and will not work again until someone has wiped this memory clean. There’s only a few places that can do this that I know of. I think that the used unlocked key is the way to go. I have seen one programmer on YouTube saying that if you don’t do two Keys that your keyless entry is not going to work. I don’t know if this is actually true. I’ve only done cars doing two keys. Car and keys must be present.KceeJane0 wrote:Are refurbished key fobs guaranteed to work?? When replacing the key fob do I have to have two key fobs programmed or can I just purchase one and have it done??
