For what matters, like the seven-year 100000 mile no deductible fully transferable drive-train warranty and the high content, Suzukis are a great deal. That's why we have three in the driveway and a Vespa motorcycle in the garage.

The total primary insurance bill for all four vehicles, in NJ with clean driving records, is $1600 per year (and the Kizashi has collision and comprehensive). With the two 2002 XL-7s, we've had each of them now a full three years past the expiration of the warranties and nothing really has gone wrong.

We replaced an alternator. The finishes remain excellent, with no rust or fading whatsoever. The alignments remain true; the exhaust systems are clean and without rust. The 4x4 has gotten us through many a snowstorm.

The Zukes have let us save a lot for college tuitions while employing a soccer-team practice driver. The Kizashi is a hoot to drive.

It just doesn't get any better than that.
