I simply think this info is just wrong. It's not even from Suzuki. While there is a slim possibility that Suzuki tweaked the performance of the Kizashi after 2014 (but why?), I have strong doubts. The only real official power difference in the specs have always been between the manual transmission models (185HP) vs. the CVT models (180HP). Keep in mind that by 2014, Suzuki pulled out of the North American (well, US and Canada) market which the Kizashi was created for. Hence, they knew the car was going to get axed with no replacement given the exodus of the North American market in addition to poor sales globally. This only goes to support that Suzuki very likely did not tune the engine in the later years.
