Technically if you can buy used one even with 10 miles on it you can. Correct me if I am wrong. Suzuki introduced new models such as S cross as well

I would think that if dealers are servicing the U.S. and the Canadian markets, they would be prohibited by their agreements from intruding upon each others' national territories by selling new cars to the other markets. But after Suzuki exits most of the U.S. (will still be selling in Hawaii and Puerto Rico I believe), they should loosen the contractual restrictions, if any exist.

Amen to that. several years ago....8" of pure sleet in the Rubicon w/ MTRs and I really wasn't going anywhere, in a straight line, until I engaged both lockers. It was the equivalent of slogging through hub deep thick-mud soup. That said, it was the only time in six years I ever needed to engage the lockers on the road other than the periodic exercising of them.

Technically, an AWD system with all open diffs is 1 wheel drive, as the power will always go to the path of least resistance. My guess is that there's a limited slip of some kind in the center that allows some differential action, but not 100%, nor 100% lockup - Subaru uses a viscous coupling, for example.

Locked diffs are great when you want all wheels to spin the same speed ... Not good at all if you're trying to turn, unless the surface is very slick, and then they can be very dangerous, as the non-spinning wheel(s) resulting from an open diff add a lot of lateral stability.
