I need a little help. I was trying to install the right license plate light bulb and must have had the light swith turned on (bonehead). Licenses plate light and tail lights not working. I checked the bulbs all good. I also checked the tail light fuse and accessory 1 and accessory 2 fuses all look good. Does anyone know the correct fuse that runs those lights? Anyone have any ideal what the heck is going on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Greg

Really sounds like a fuse issue. Try replacing the fuse (regardless of visual condition) and see if it does the trick. I don't have the details for this car on hand, but keep in mind there are two fuse boxes in most cars. One in the engine bay and the other in the cabin. Verify with the owner's manual which fuse box contains the fuse you need to check/replace.

KuroNekko,

Thanks for the response. I pulled out the Tail fuse and tested it, it was good. I checked the Acc fuse and bingo it was cooked but the metal was not broken. Replaced Acc fuse tail light are one. Changed the burned out license plate bulb.

Thanks for the help all is well. :drive:

Greg.

This just happened to me.
Sat: brought the car to the dealer for regular service. Drove home happy in the afternoon as the car always feels smoother and quieter right after the engine oil change. Didn't notice anything awry.
Drove it on Sunday morning again did not notice anything awry.

Monday, early morning drive to work- wtf why do my dashboard lights not work? How come I don't see my driving/ position lights reflected in the car in front? Fog and tail lamps down too!

Brought back to dealership late afternoon. Tried changing the acc fuse but the new ones kept blowing. Too late to troubleshoot so left it there overnight.

Collected car yesterday, was told that they found that it was one of the licence bulb holders which was actually slightly bent and touching the bodywork causing a short.... how it happened i do not know. I wonder if the mechanic caused it on Saturday but since I did not drive in the dark on Sat and Sun I just never noticed the problem....
